Time & Location
Sep 19, 2024, 6:30 PM – 8:30 PM
Detroit, 460 W Baltimore St, Detroit, MI 48202, USA
About the event
One of the biggest topics among creative professionals is generative AI and how it might impact their crafts and careers. In this conversation, explore how technology and creative tools have evolved, how creatives can adapt in a changing landscape, and the responsibility of keeping humanity at the center as tools evolve. Attendees will hear from panelists, all Detroit creatives, about their outlooks. The conversation will be led by Kelly Weldon, a Staff Experience Designer for Adobe Firefly: Adobe’s standalone web application which offers new ways to ideate, create, and communicate while significantly improving creative workflows using generative AI.

About Diversity in Design (DID) Collaborative
The Diversity in Design (DID) Collaborative was initiated in June 2021 to foster systemic change by increasing diversity and improving conditions for Black creatives across the design industry. DID has come together with the understanding that impactful change requires a shared value set, a collaborative approach, and aligned action plans that are measurable and directed to outcomes of diversity, equity, and inclusion in the field.
About Adobe Design
At home they are artists, artisans, thinkers, writers, and makers. At work they are designers, builders, leaders, and researchers who help shape the look, feel, and function of Adobe's products. They are inventive, dedicated, and different, and want to change the world. So they think big. Sweat the small stuff. And stay curious. They dream individually, think holistically, and triumph as a team. They fuel our creativity with process, solve problems that seem insurmountable, and design to remove complexity. They are Adobe’s Design Team.
