Building off of Survived’s ethos, To Be, To Endure looks to decipher the characteristics of survivability, and fusing them with elements of strong, sustainable design. To survive, one must have gone through something. One does not peacefully survive. Mimicked throughout the creation of the piece, ‘continuing in spite of,’ is an active experience that utilizes many tools including fluidity, balance, resourcefulness, and communal strength. 

Celebrating both the strength of the many, and sustainable design practices, 65% of lumber used was reclaimed and donated by members of my local community.
