Brilliant Weaving: A Tapestry of Community Empowerment

Brilliant Weaving is an immersive and interactive installation designed to honor Detroit's vibrant communities. It celebrates Brilliant Detroit’s '24 by 24' initiative, striving to establish 24 community hubs by 2024, each serving as vital resources for families and children. This installation visually embodies the resilience, achievements, and empowerment fostered within Brilliant Detroit's network.  At its core, the installation features a large-scale weaving creation to debut at Chroma during the Month of Design, later finding a permanent home in one of Brilliant Detroit's community hubs. It stands as a testament to community strength and unity, symbolizing the interconnectedness of Detroit's diverse neighborhoods.  Through its visual impact and symbolic significance, the weaving installation engages audiences, sparking conversations about community, resilience, and empowerment.
