BUILD: Enzo Mari Sedia 1 Chair with Tony Printz

Construct a Sedia 1 chair patterned by visionary Italian designer Enzo Mari in this hands-on workshop, led by Buffalo Prescott Working Resident Tony Printz.

The chair design is part of Mari’s Autoprogettazione series and intended to be built with simple tools and common lumber, challenging the ideas of authorship and production, creating accessible works that are readily reproducible.

Workshop facilitator Tony Printz worked as a Lead Designer at Chris Schanck Studios and is the Studio Coordinator for Buffalo Prescott. Printz received his undergraduate degree in Architecture from Lawrence Technological University and a master’s of Architecture from the Taubman College at the University of Michigan.
