About the event

Gucci and Design Core are excited to announce the reveal of “Collard Greens,” a mural by Detroit artist Oshun Williams. Collard Greens will debut to the public on the side of the Siren Hotel located at 1509 Broadway St. beginning on Sunday, September 1st. The mural is in celebration of Gucci’s ongoing engagement in Detroit.   Since its launch in 2019, Gucci Changemakers has invested more than $2.5 million in multi-year grant funding to organizations working to promote social good in diverse communities throughout North America. This partnership marks Gucci Changemakers fourth collaboration with Design Core. In 2019, the organization's Design in the City competition was made possible by a $45,000 grant from Gucci Changemakers. In 2022, Design Core partnered with Gucci Changemakers to curate an exhibition at the Museum of Contemporary Arts Detroit (MOCAD) titled ‘Building a Lasting Impact’. In 2023, "Botanical City" was the 2nd mural to debut as part of the Siren Art Wall project.
