About the event

Move through an interactive multimedia gallery of mobility solutions, created and curated with young technical leaders and entrepreneurs in the Mobility Leadership Lab. Youth apply technical tools, an entrepreneurial mindset, and essential workforce skills to innovate solutions to Mobility challenges at Michigan Central Station. Unlocking their potential through design, Detroit high school interns define Mobility for their city, as “freedom and ease of movement for youth to access resources and opportunities, build a vision, and execute plans with courage.” This exposition of work designed by youth, for youth, includes a model for a Trade School for Entrepreneurship, a rendering for a Mobility City Mural, vlogs for MichAuto's You Drive the Future project, and prototypes to guide transit interventions for the city of Detroit's neighborhood Mobility HUB initiative. This community design lab is a collaboration between YouthTank Detroit, Google's Code Next, Design Core Detroit, and the Office for Mobility Innovation for the City of Detroit.
