Design Journey Home - China and Back Opening Ceremony

Join us for the opening ceremony of “Beauty of Design,” an exhibition showcasing a collection of design works created by alumni of the College for Creative Studies (CCS) connected to China, as well as designs by current CCS students and students based in China. This event is free and open to the public.

In collaboration with two other UNESCO Cities of Design—Wuhan and Chongqing—the exhibition highlights the unique design characteristics and achievements emerging from China. The exhibits feature a diverse range of work, including new energy vehicle designs, collaborative projects between artists and designers, and more. The exhibition demonstrates the significant contributions CCS graduates have made to the development of new energy vehicles and the future of the automotive industry.

Through this showcase, Detroit’s outstanding ability to attract and cultivate design talent is presented from multiple perspectives, reinforcing they city's reputation as a globally recognized design center. The exhibition also…
