Designing an Autonomous Robotic Pickup Platform

This event will showcase the Autonomous Robotic Pickup Platform Orange Sparkle Ball is currently piloting in the Corktown neighborhood of Detroit. Beyond showcasing the technology, we'll explore the open innovation frameworks and human-centered design methodologies driving its creation.  Through a live demonstration, you will be immersed in a future state where pickup is seamlessly scheduled as needed through autonomous vehicles, starting with robots.  This event won't just illustrate the future state, but give an in-depth look at the strategic thought processes behind its realization. 

Orange Sparkle Ball's approach involves iterative piloting with multiple technology startups; rather than working to validate the solution of a single startup to scale. They are taking a broader approach to the logistics of pickup. By layering short, data-informed pilots, they aim to craft an efficient, sustainable, and financially viable civic tech platform.  In addition to representing the Orange Sparkle Ball team, this demonstration will also feature autonomous technology and hardware by Refraction AI and Intermode.  

This is a two-part event:
