Distinct Life Presents: Introducing Metal Feet

DISTINCT LIFE presents Introducing Metal Feet, inspired by Rick William's lifelong journey as a tap dancer, designer, photographer, and storyteller.

The evening begins in the South Concourse with a 20-minute film documenting the making of Introducing Metal Feet, an original vinyl album created by Rick Williams in collaboration with Detroit producer JRGottheHits. Using tap as percussion, Rick transforms his feet into an instrument, blending rhythm, music, and improvisation.

Following the film, experience a live performance by Rick Williams (Metal Feet) and a live band, joined by DJ BlaaqGold and special guests. Together, they create an unforgettable evening celebrating Detroit's spirit of creativity, collaboration, and sound.

This event is part of Friday Nights at the Station: Detroit Month of Design Takeover, a collaboration between Michigan Central and Design Core Detroit for the Detroit Month of Design. Come explore new ideas, meet the people shaping Detroit’s design future, and experience one of the city’s most iconic spaces in a new way.

Tickets are $15, with limited capacity and grant access to all of the evening's programming.
