Pop Up with Designing Justice + Designing Spaces

In Designing Justice + Designing Spaces’ design and development process, we are guided by the belief that “we go fast alone, far together.” What parts will each of us play in building a just future? We invite community members, neighbors, designers, and community organizations to gather for an afternoon of food, music, creativity, and collective imagination. Come participate in a facilitated community conversation in our circle space, sample food and products from local vendors, listen to some therapeutic sounds, play outdoor games, and build your own design with Sit-On-It Detroit.

Designing Justice + Designing Spaces (DJDS) is an architecture and real estate development nonprofit working to end mass incarceration by building infrastructure that addresses its root causes: poverty, racism, unequal access to resources, and the criminal justice system itself.
