Join the Urban Development Corporation, in collaboration with Design Core Detroit and The Gilbert Family Foundation, for a Detroit Month of Design event exploring the past, present, and future of the Farwell neighborhood.

Discover the history of the Farwell neighborhood, once a center for the automotive industry's working class. The community has faced significant disinvestment, especially after the 2008 recession. However, its story is far from over.
This event offers an opportunity to see the Farwell's promising present. The Urban Development Corporation will showcase its efforts to create a Community Hub and increase access to affordable housing. We're inviting the greater Detroit Design and Built Environment Community to preview our vision, hoping to spark interest in revitalization, foster partnerships, and usher in a new season of homeownership.
