TOUR: Designing a Resilient Future in Detroit with Rescue MI Nature Now

This informational tour will showcase a series of projects initiated by local organization Rescue MI Nature Now. Come and see how we are transforming the Nolan neighborhood in North Central Detroit, near the intersection of State Fair and John R Streets.

From Detroit's first co-designed Therapy Forest just south of 8 Mile Road to the newly created Prairie Corridor on John R, stops on this accessible “Green Loop” walking tour will include the Wood Carving Gallery, Innovative Youth Studio, Mycology Learning Lab, and State Fair Farmer’s Market. Along the way, we will discuss the natural and social history of the Nolan neighborhood, as well as the concept of Urban Acupuncture that guides our work, and the academic, community, government, corporate, and government partnerships that have made these changes possible.
