SECTION 5: AGREEMENTS & FINAL SUBMISSION

General Terms and Agreements

Independent Event Management: I understand that if selected, I am fully responsible for independently funding, managing, and executing my event.

Participation Stipend: I acknowledge that I will receive a $2,000 stipend for my participation and that stipends will be paid out as follows

Festival Branding & Promotion: I agree to follow the Detroit Month of Design branding and trademark guidelines and use the provided promotional materials in addition to my own.

Health & Safety Compliance: I certify that my event will adhere to state and local health guidelines.

Media & Liability Agreements

Photo Licensing Agreement: I certify that I own or have secured permission for all submitted photography and content. I grant Design Core Detroit and its partners the right to share this content in association with the festival before, during and after the event.

Event Photography Consent: I agree to be photographed during the event.

Liability Disclaimer: I acknowledge that this event is independently managed and operated by the event organizer. Design Core Detroit is not responsible for any injuries or damages occurring at the event.

Event Cancellations & Refund Policy

Cancellation & Refunds: If my event is canceled, I will make every effort to reschedule. If rescheduling is not possible, I understand that the participation fee is only refundable if Design Core Detroit is notified by Monday, August 4, 2025.

Code of Conduct

Community Standards & Ethics: I acknowledge that Design Core Detroit is committed to fostering a safe, inclusive, accessible, and respectful environment. If it is determined that an individual has caused substantial harm to others in the creative or broader community, Design Core Detroit reserves the right to modify or end its working relationship with that person at its sole discretion. In such cases, participation fees will not be refunded.
