About the event
“A Fiber Experience: PROCESS, TIME, MEMORIES, REPEAT “ honors labor and craft, while exploring communal textile processing. Activating natural resources gathered in Detroit and its neighboring cities, we aim to create an experience where people are present in time using their full bodies to create and “replant” themselves in the narrative of their life. We believe that process and repetition-based practices are healing and reformative, and through Wet Felting, Cyanotype Printing, Rust Dyeing, Flax Processing and Weaving with community, we hope to celebrate growth and the labor of love that is life. Hosted by Yasmin Zoe and Jolisha Jolene
All materials are provided unless mentioned otherwise. We are so excited to celebrate labor and fiber with you. Please read to the end for important event details.
