About the event

Join us at Dream.Design.Detroit, presented by Make Art Work at Lincoln Factory in the Dreamtroit Complex and Lincoln Street Art Park, for an evening spotlighting our resident artists and businesses. With a market of local artists and vendors, art cars, murals, music, live sculpture fabrication and more, this unforgettable event will leave you inspired and wondering what you can create!

Make Art Work invites the public into the Dreamtroit Complex and Art Park for an immersive exploration of material transformation, circular design, and artist-led community space.

This event will feature:

  • Makers Market including residents of Dreamtroit and outside Detroit entrepreneurs

  • Resident Artist studios open to the public

  • Live large-scale and participatory sculpture installation 'Frank the Dino,' mural walls, art created from reclaimed and recycled materials at Recycle Here

  • Hands-on workshops exploring waste-to-art practices in partnership with Green Living Science

  • Art from resident artists working across disciplines (painting, metal, sculpture, mixed media)

  • Pizza from Michigan Trumbull Pizza and local food trucks.

  • Live music throughout the venue

  • Local food trucks

At its core, the event explores how discarded materials become vessels of meaning, reframing waste as resource and art as infrastructure.
