Fashion through the lens of Fibers

We are creating an immersive fiber installation that functions as a sculptural environment, transforming textiles into a live, spatial experience. Each artist will develop distinct yet interconnected elements inspired by specific fashion aesthetics. Opening day consists of the installation being open for view, tote workshops happening onsite, food, & music.

Ranging from adorned crochet wigs, punk/rock adornment and pierced accessories to bling, softness, ritual, and everyday beauty practices within black femme expression. These elements will blur the boundaries between fiber art, fashion, and installation, transforming textiles into a live, spatial experience and scene. This project expands fiber beyond object making into environment, archive, and experience, offering viewers a layered, sensory encounter with fashion as both personal and collective expression.
