About the event

Living Loop Detroit is a month-long public experience exploring Detroit’s emerging nature-forward urbanism movement through a self-guided trail of ecological landscapes, public art, performances, and community conversations.

Centered in Corktown, Hubbard Richard, and North Corktown, the Living Loop connects meadows, pocket forests, pollinator habitats, and regenerative landscapes into a shared experience that explores how design creates access—to nature, movement, health, knowledge, and community.

Throughout September, visitors can follow the Loop at their own pace using maps, site signage, and QR-enabled stories while discovering immersive dance performances, public conversations, community art, and ecological installations across multiple locations. More than a tour, the Living Loop reveals a growing design movement already taking shape across Detroit—one that sees cities as living systems where people and nature flourish together.
