About the event

A hands-on event exploring denim upcycling, sustainable fashion, 3D printing, and local entrepreneurship through design and making.

Recrafted: Denim to Design + Sustainable Fashion & Future Manufacturing is an interactive community event exploring sustainable fashion, creative reuse, emerging technology, and local entrepreneurship. The event brings together designers, makers, students, and community members to discover how fashion can be reimagined through circular design, hands-on learning, and innovative manufacturing.

The event features a guided denim upcycling workshop where participants transform discarded denim into tote bags, accessories, and customized wearable pieces. Through beginner-friendly sewing and reconstruction techniques, attendees will learn how design can extend the life of materials, reduce textile waste, and support more sustainable consumption practices.

Attendees can also explore a Future Manufacturing Showcase featuring demonstrations of 3D printing, digital fabrication, and product prototyping. The showcase highlights how technology is being used to create innovative and sustainable fashion and product solutions.
