About the event
The Wayne State University (WSU) Alumni Fashion Show aims to highlight the talent, effort, and originality of our accomplished graduates in the context of an outdoor garden in full bloom with climate-resilient heirloom plants. WSU Fashion Design alumni will showcase recent design works in a runway presentation at the garden.
Siting this presentation at Amend makes visible the interdisciplinary and collaborative work of our faculty in addition to promoting the opportunities our programs offer in the James P. Duffy Department of Art, Art History, and Design.
Alumni were selected to participate in this public event through an open call process, juried by Ryan Seng, Juana Williams, and Rachel Sultana. Jurors were asked to consider how applicants defined sustainability in their creative practices, among other considerations for this outdoor fashion show.
