The Guardian Building
The iconic Guardian Building hosts a talk and exhibition from digital artist Chris Hytha and skyscraper historian Mark Houser. The details of towering Jazz Age gems were on display as never seen them before with digital artist Chris Hytha and skyscraper historian Mark Houser.
Their new book, Highrises Art Deco, collects the best images and stories from their cross-country odyssey to highlight classic skyscrapers from a new perspective.
Hytha’s use of drone-scan photography showcases the design and craftsmanship at the summits of iconic Art Deco buildings, while Houser recounts the histories of each skyscraper and the people and companies behind its construction. The creators gave a special presentation of their favorite skyscraper stories and images in the historic club floor on top of the Guardian Building, an Art Deco landmark.
