6 Mile Street Festival

The 6 Mile Street Festival energized Northwest Detroit with a lively outdoor celebration highlighting the intersection of community, commerce, and culture. Residents and visitors gathered along the corridor to experience live musical performances, family-friendly programming, and artist-led exhibitions that activated local storefronts and public spaces. Through collaborative window installations and creative activations, the festival invited attendees to explore and support neighborhood businesses while celebrating the artistic talent rooted in the community.
The event also marked a major milestone, commemorating the 10-year anniversary of Live6 Alliance and celebrating the corridor’s designation as a Michigan Main Street area. Beyond honoring past achievements, the festival created space for reflection, connection, and forward-looking dialogue, reinforcing a shared vision for continued neighborhood growth, cultural vibrancy, and economic opportunity in the years ahead.
