Art in Motion

This event is a multi-discipline, multi-artist installation that merges art, fashion, and dance across three floors in innovative and immersive reinterpretations of the traditional gallery experience.  By incorporating dance, vinyl soundscapes, innovative fashion, and art that leaps off the wall into a multi-floor, sensory experience, this event seeks to showcase the versatility and diversity of the Detroit creative community.  The collaborating artists seek to tear open the intersections of their respective disciplines by merging wearable art, dynamic dance, musical performances, and live mural painting alongside traditional gallery exhibitions.   The event will begin in the alley space directly in front of the venue. This lounge area will include food trucks, comfortable seating and beverages. As patrons enter the ADA Accessible first floor of District5Detroit they will be greeted with a welcome area, food table, full bar, visual art installation by Pauly M.
