BUILD Workshop #2: Build the Table/Stool with Designer Tony Printz

Join designer and craftsman Tony Printz for a hands-on furniture-making workshop where participants will build and customize a limited-edition Table/Stool inspired by his exploration of house, home, craft, and community. Over two intensive workshop days, attendees will learn fundamental woodworking and fabrication techniques, including routing, fastening, kerfing, assembly, and finishing. Each participant will leave with a unique piece crafted from maple hardwood and plywood, customized with their choice of stain or color. No prior experience is required—just a willingness to learn, build, and create.

Tony Printz is a designer and craftsman based in Southfield, Michigan, whose work explores themes of house, home, craft, and community through furniture, interiors, and installations. Drawing from both traditional woodworking methods and contemporary digital fabrication processes, Printz creates objects that balance utility, experimentation, and material exploration.
