About the Collaborators
CONTAINER
CONTAINER is a residency platform supporting Detroit creatives in music, fashion, visual art, and food. Rooted in community, powered by collaboration, and built to elevate talent, CONTAINER selects 12 Detroit artists each season through local leadership and community vote.
CONTAINER exists to elevate Detroit’s creative talent. Each artist reimagines the CONTAINER as a reflection of their journey, turning it into a powerful stage for storytelling, visibility, and professional growth.
Canfield Consortium
Canfield Consortium is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit community development organization dedicated to restoring the neighborhood community experience and improving the quality of life in Detroit's East Canfield Village. Founded by sisters and legacy residents Kim and Rhonda Theus, the organization drives community-led revitalization through equitable development, environmental stewardship, historic preservation, and public art.
Through signature projects like the East Canfield Art Park, the Canfield Connect greenway, and historic building renovations, Canfield Consortium leverages creative placemaking and land stewardship to empower legacy residents, celebrate local history, and build a sustainable, thriving future for the neighborhood.
