About the event
Design Core Detroit and Little Village invite you to participate in a special evening of programming on Thursday, September 3rd from 5:00pm - 9:00pm to celebrate the official opening of Detroit Month of Design.
The event will begin with an outdoor activation from 5:00 PM-7:00 PM at the park currently being built at the corner of Kercheval at McClellan (directly across the street from LANTERN) and presented in partnership with Design Core Detroit and Little Village.
The event will include food, drinks, music and art, including an activation spearheaded by curator Stefan Novakovic. Following the program at the park, guests will be encouraged to explore Little Village through a curated Design Crawl highlighting exhibitions, open studios, installations, and other programming taking place in properties throughout the corridor. The evening will conclude with an after party at Father Forgive Me and on the grounds of the Shepherd.
