Fridays at the Station: Detroit Month of Design Takeover

For one night, the Station will become a dynamic showcase for Detroit’s creative energy, with live performance, designer installations, a film screening, conversations, and more. Come explore new ideas, meet the people shaping Detroit’s design future, and experience one of the city’s most iconic spaces in a new way. A full bar, local shopping, and curated food offerings will also be available for purchase. Tickets are $15, with limited capacity.

• In the Study: Join a moderated panel on how objects, sounds, and experiences shape connection with architect Jaimelyn Neher, artist Salam Rida, audio engineer Daniel Tomczak, and Design Core's Kiana Wenzell, followed by music by EDNA on the Bing Audio sound system.

• In the Grand Hall: Explore new and in-progress work by Basalt, Design. Declassified x Jason Alexander, LTU Product Design, Domino Modular, and Liisa Salonen, with live drawing by Nicole Jarecz.

• In the South Concourse: A 20-minute documentary chronicles the making of Introducing Metal Feet, Rick Williams' original vinyl album produced by JRGottheHits, followed by a live performance by Rick Williams (Metal Feet) and band with DJ BlaaqGold and special guests.

• Outside: Salam Rida's work extends the experience beyond The Station walls.
