This exhibition from the Georgia Tech School of Architecture positions architecture as an active, evolving instrument for shaping more resilient, equitable, and culturally grounded futures. Rooted in the layered context of Corktown, the projects demonstrate how design can engage complexity - social, environmental, and economic - while proposing new possibilities for collective urban life.

This work highlights how our creative community can innovate through material experimentation, collaborative frameworks, and deeply contextual thinking. The projects strengthen the connection between academia and practice, bridging research, industry expertise, and hands-on making, so that education expands to encompass applied innovation and real-world engagement. They explore how architecture can amplify community narratives and foster adaptability in the face of change.

Drawing on history, climate, politics, economics, and demographics, Cultural and Tectonic Plasticity: Identity and Community considers how architecture and context interact.

Panelists will include architects, students, and community stakeholders. It is free and open to the public.
