Time & Location
Sep 19, 2026, 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM
St. Peter's Episcopal Church, 1950 Trumbull, Detroit, MI 48216, USA
About the event
"Moving Fashion Forward" is more than a fashion show. For one night, fashion, art, music, and faith will come together inside a historic chapel to create an immersive experience that moves and inspires. Local designers will present rare and contemporary garments inspired by the beauty and history of the church, incorporating precious jewels, crosses, and devotional treasures into their collections. A live choir and musical performances will fill the space in the heart of Detroit.
Curated by Creative Director and Designer Briana Williams, this collective fashion exhibition will showcase the work of local designers and artisans who have been invited to create and present original collections inspired by purpose, expression, and community.
Held within a church with colorful lighting, moving music, and live choir performances, the experience will transform the traditional fashion presentation into an immersive cultural event. Guests will enjoy an evening where fashion becomes a form of storytelling and artistic expression.
Designers will have the opportunity to share their work with the community while connecting with industry professionals, buyers, showroom representatives, and fellow creatives.
UN SUSTAINABILITY GOALS
We use Detroit's UNESCO City of Design designation as a call to action for Detroiters to embrace the Sustainable Development Goals in their own communities, contributing to the active effort of solving global interconnected issues.
